Parents

PTA

Wallop Primary School PTA is a registered charity that aims to raise funds to improve and maintain resources for children at the school. All parents and carers of children attending the school are automatically members of the PTA and are very welcome to attend meetings and events.

Charitable Status

Charity law requires voluntary organisations like ours, with an annual income over £5,000, to register with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. As a charity, we must follow Charity Commission rules and operate in line with our constitution. Our constitution explains how the PTA works and how we are expected to behave. Copies are available on request from any Committee member.

Being a registered charity enables the PTA to:

  • Receive charitable donations from local and national companies

  • Apply to grant-making charitable trusts; most charitable trusts will give grants only to groups formally recognised as charities

  • Receive donations made through payroll giving and company matched giving schemes

  • Apply for Gift Aid

Support

We are always keen to welcome new PTA volunteers who can spare a little time to help support our activities. Every bit of help counts, even just one hour at an event is hugely appreciated. If you would like to get involved as a committee member, or PTA volunteer, please contact the pta@wallop.hants.sch.uk
